I originaly started just rebasrebates.com in March of 2007, now I am trying to move it all over to rebasreviews.com but moving it is not that easy, at least not if you want to keep all of the links and traffic.
I was born into a very abusive home. My mother tortured me a lot before I was finally shipped off to foster home after foster home at the age of about 5. She used to keep me under water in the bathtub just until I almost drown, then she would jerk me out. When I was 2 1/2 she jerked to hard and broke my arm. My older brothers heard the screams and she told them if they said anything they would be sent to foster homes.
Everyone always said I was such a cute baby and mother hated that so she started pinching me when we were around people, secretly of course, so I would cry and not be pretty. I am 43 now and it wasn't until I was 38 that she said she was sorry and wished she had held me when i was a baby.
Skipping a few years, at 13 I was placed for 18 months, in the state hospital because my foster parents thought I was gay. Actually I was acting that way so the foster grandmother's neighbor would hopefully stop molesting me. It got me out of there. 1 1/2 years in a state hospital when you are 13 should be traumatic. I never felt so safe
Anyway, at 17 I enlisted with my mothers consent, into the U.S. Army. After 3 weeks in basic training at Fort Leonardwood Missouri, I recieved a honerable medical discharge.
Back then, 1981/82, you had to be in longer than that for military medical benefits so I have always just had to rely on SSI. At 43, I decided I cannot live on about $630 per month anymore so I am trying to build these blogs and hopefully someday, be able to support myself.
There are a lot of people in the world who have had it a lot worse to me. i am grateful I am still alive. The documents (over 600 pages) of charting from the state hospital, they said I wouldn't make it to 30 because of my childhood and mental state. So that's why I feels so lucky. I guess God has a plan for even me.
