I didn't want to have to pick and choose between affiliate programs but after the last 8 months in dealing with them, I feel I must.

Let me give anyone new to online marketing and working with affiliate programs a heads up. It's a wild scary world out here! No joke. Be very careful. Not getting taken seems to be more work than it's really worth with some of these jokers.

Wouldn't you think you just go get there data feeds or affiliate program merchant banners and put them up on your website or blog and that's that? It really should be that simple but it's not. When you see tons and tons of traffic for one of the products you are promoting and hear that someone purchased through your link not once, but over and over and you didn't get paid a plug nickel for it, you will understand exactly what I mean.

My favorite affiliate program (before you say forget-read why) is the Hoodithin affiliate program. Hoodithin has been featured on the NBC Today Show and is 100% legitimate. I have ALWAYS been paid by them on time and for every sale.

I have dealt with A LOT of affiliate programs and they are the best. Most of all, their product Hoodithin is not a diet pill or drug with side effects, it is an all natural liquid extract from the Hoodia Gordonii plant of South Africa that works. Let me tell you about my experiences with a few of the big guns. Joebucks, Clixgalore, Shareasale, Linkshare, Commission Junction, Clickbank, Clickbooth and that's just for starters.

Joebucks is the kind of affiliate program that if you don't really like or enjoy their products, you will end up getting rid of. You have to spend a lot of time working their products and the pre made templates they have, you will have a really difficult time getting them to rank in the search engines without a lot of modification. As for their honesty, they seem to be legitimate and pay as claimed. It just seems too difficult to move what they offer.

Clixgalore. Clixgalore has a ton of merchants in their Affiliate program network. I don't care for the fact that they seem to make it more difficult for you to use them if you are not in Australia. Most of their merchants and products are Australian. They have a lot of U.S. but, it's focus is not in us. I don't trust them. It's my personal opinion.

I will not recommend Clixgalore. I am moving as far away from them as possible.

I kept one of their affiliate tracking codes. It led to a information.com search page instead of the vendor. My host researched it. Clixgalore did it. You see, they are selling the product as well so they just took my affiliate traffic for their own.

Not good. And since Google comes through here daily, I am pretty sure Clixgalore will not be happy to see this kind of review of them.
